Self Storage is a relatively recent service industry in the UK. You bring your goods or possessions to the storage centre, lock them in the container and come and go as you please throughout your contract period. You are to provide your own lock and keys and are solely responsible for them.

First of all, call or fill in the online submission form. Arrange a viewing or just simply book a container for your storage needs. There is a minimum storage charge of 1 month, a deposit of £200 will be required on top of the initial booking charge. The deposit will be returned to you after the close of the contract and the container has been inspected and handed back to the Self Storage manager.

All containers are situated within a compound. The compound has an 8ft high-security fence encompassing it and premier vehicle, and human detect camera system in place. The compound is floodlit and accessible 24/7 throughout the year. The main entrance gate works on a security-coded keypad and each container is personally locked by the customer.

No, you can use your own padlock(s) or they can be requested, free of charge from within the main office.

The minimum rental period is 1 month. A £200 deposit will also be required on top of this charge, this will be returned at the end of the storage contract period.

The price includes VAT, the container, and peace of mind that your items are securely stored and covered by a 24hr security camera system.

Payment will be taken at the point the contract is signed, this can be paid by cash, BACs or Standing Order.

This depends upon what size container you are after and how many. Delays are not frequent, customers are usually able to move their belongings in straight away once the contract has been signed and payment received.

Yes, as long as the type of container you are after is available, there is no problem with changing containers. Please speak to the office staff should this query arise, we are always happy to help.

No, Llantwit Major Self Storage DO NOT provide insurance. The customer is to provide insurance for their own items that are being stored within the unit(s).

We do not permit the storage of:

Hazardous goods, toxic materials

Pollutants, contaminants, waste

Perishable goods, live animals, living plants

Cash and securities, illegal goods

Explosives, firearms, ammunitions

We always cooperate with the Police and HM Customs
